Juilliard at Zankel Hall | A celebration of Meredith Monk

In collaboration with Juilliard, Carnegie Hall presents an interdisciplinary celebration of legendary composer, performer, director, and choreographer Meredith Monk. The program includes some of Monk’s inimitable works for chamber ensemble, among them several that include movement, performed by exceptional students who will have worked with Monk during her distinguished visiting artist residency at Juilliard.

This powerful concert features the talented Shared Voices Cohort from the Denyce Graves Foundation, who will present a stunning performance that highlights the works of legendary Black composers like Margaret Bonds, Roland Carter, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and H.T. Burleigh, alongside beloved pieces by classical icons such as Puccini, Gershwin, Strauss, and more.
